A Thousand Palms man was arrested Tuesday, Aug. 25, after he allegedly brandished a handgun during a road rage dispute in Palm Desert, then led deputies on a pursuit into Indio, police said.
Riverside County sheriff’s deputies booked Willard Giron, 27, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after the pursuit ended near Varner Road and Jefferson Street, Sgt. Daniel Milbrandt said in a press release.
Deputies were called around 10:50 a.m. to Cook Street and Gerald Ford Drive, where a driver reported that Giron “approached him yelling and holding a handgun” before driving north on Cook Street toward Interstate 10, Milbrandt said…
