Bill to allow undocumented students in CA to apply for college campus jobs sits on Newsom’s desk

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Students and immigrant rights advocates called for Gov. Gavin Newsom to sign a bill on his desk that would give undocumented college students a shot at on-campus jobs.

AB 713 is dubbed “Opportunity for All” and it would open up job opportunities at higher education campuses funded by the state, including University of California, Cal State University, and state community colleges, to undocumented students except for jobs that require federal work authorization.
