A hiker on a hillside trail south of Hemet suffered injuries Thursday that immobilized him, leading to a search and rescue operation. The “hiker down” call was received at 12:50 p.m. on a path at the south end of Simpson Park, near Rawlings Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
