Kansas Supreme Court upholds conviction in murders of Wichita couple

The Kansas Supreme Court has upheld the conviction of a Texas woman who was convicted in the murders of a Wichita couple who disappeared from the Barton County Fair in 2018. Kimberly Younger of Aransas Pass, Texas was convicted in 2021 of organizing and plotting the murders of 78-year-old Alfred “Sonny” Carpenter and 79-year-old Pauline Carpenter of Wichita. The Carpenters disappeared from the Barton County Fair in July, 2018 and their bodies were found later in northwest Arkansas. Four other people were tried and convicted in the killings.
