CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Mathis ISD paraprofessional is facing criminal charges after investigators say surveillance video captured the alleged assault of a disabled 16-year-old student.
According to an arrest warrant and police report, 59-year-old Julie Ann Rodriguez-Munson was seen on surveillance footage allegedly pushing the student before grabbing him and slamming him to the floor.
Investigators say the video also shows Rodriguez-Munson pinning the student down and repeatedly striking him, causing the student’s glasses to fly off. The report states the student spit on Rodriguez-Munson during the altercation…
