ALPHARETTA, GA – More music is coming to downtown Alpharetta this fall as the 13th annual Wire & Wood Songwriters Festival expands with a seventh stage, giving festivalgoers even more opportunities to experience live music throughout downtown Alpharetta.
The festival’s newest stage at Truck & Tap will feature performances by The Jesse Williams Band on Friday and The Mathis Hunter Band on Saturday. The venue will also host the festival’s official after-party both Friday and Saturday nights, keeping the music going after the main festival performances conclude.
The free, two-day festival runs Friday and Saturday, October 9-10, with more than 40 performances. From country and Americana to indie rock, soul, folk and bluegrass, Wire & Wood brings together nationally recognized artists and emerging talent. Country favorite Corey Smith will headline Friday evening, while platinum-selling rock band Sister Hazel will close the festival Saturday night. Other featured performers include American Idol finalist Crystal Bowersox, Blair Crimmins & The Hookers, J.R.
