Superintendent’s Teacher Advisory Council Kicks Off Second School Year

The Cherokee County School District’s Superintendent’s Teacher Advisory Council kicked off for a second school year of providing educators with the opportunity to share valued feedback.

Through a series of roundtable meetings, Council members provide Superintendent of Schools Mary Elizabeth Davis with professional insights to support CCSD’s mission to become the highest-performing school district in Georgia. Council members are selected by their peers and include teachers from all of CCSD’s schools and centers. Many of the members appointed to the inaugural Council last year are continuing their service this school year.

The group at this week’s kickoff meeting participated in a pulse check on CCSD’s 2026-27 Key Priorities and shared feedback and insights from across their schools. Superintendent Davis updated members on the community-built strategic plan, Elevate 2032, and invited them to bring forward ideas and issues important to their schools and classrooms…
