Renovations Coming to Towne Lake Plaza Shopping Center

Renovations are coming to a shopping center on Towne Lake Parkway.

The Woodstock City Council voted 5-0 April 22 to approve an application from Parks Huff on behalf of SSP Towne Lake, LLC for variances to allow for the renovation of the existing 28,000 square-foot multi-tenant Towne Lake Plaza shopping center at 150 Towne Lake Parkway. Council member Tracy Collins was absent from the meeting.

No one signed up to speak on the request during the public hearing.

The variances are to the city’s Downtown District Standards of the Land Development Ordinance for architectural or site requirements to remodel the shopping center, according to city documents.

The applicant plans to make improvements to the shopping center’s exterior facade, upgrade the parking lot and enhance existing outdoor dining areas.

The applicant also owns the parcel to the west of the shopping center. The Woodstock City Council approved a request in June from Brian Kay for Atwell to allow for the construction of a 3,580 square-foot restaurant on this property near the downtown area.
