A late-afternoon traffic jam at a busy Balch Springs intersection turned deadly when a road rage confrontation ended with a 20-year-old man fatally shot and two brothers now jailed on murder charges.
Family members identified the victim as Jorge Armando Sanchez, a soon-to-be father who relatives say was gunned down as vehicles sat stalled at Peachtree Road and Lake June Road on Sunday, according to NBC 5 Dallas-Fort-Worth. Sanchez was rushed from the scene and later died at a hospital, relatives told the station. His partner, Yuliana Moreno, said she learned she was pregnant only after the shooting, and a family member, Evelyn Sanchez, told NBC 5 he had been struck about 11 times and called the killing “unjustified.”
