A new ranking of the nation’s wealthiest suburbs, as measured by household income, finds much of America’s wealth concentrated in a few metropolitan areas, including New York City, Houston, Dallas and San Francisco.
The nation’s wealthiest suburb is Scarsdale, in New York’s leafy Westchester County, with an average household income of $612,591 in 2024, according to an analysis released June 1 by the personal finance site MoneyLion.
