Dallas police officer fired Thursday following assault arrest in Royse City, police say

DALLAS — A Dallas police officer was fired Thursday after being arrested and charged with assault in Royse City, the Dallas Police Department said in a news release.

According to police, Officer Armando Jaramillo was fired during a disciplinary hearing with Police Chief Daniel Comeaux.

Jaramillo was fired for “engaging in adverse conduct” when he was arrested for assaulting a family member by the Royse City Police Department and charged with Assault Causes Bodily Injury – Family Violence. DPD says Jaramillo also failed to notify his chain of command when he was named in a protective order in result of the assault…
