SMITH COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) – Two members of an alleged multi-state theft ring have been arrested in East Texas, according to an affidavit.
Antoinette Hammond, 39, of Dallas, and Tangela Johnson, were arrested by the Smith County Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 4 and charged with engaging in organized criminal activity.
According to the affidavit, DPS investigators identified Hammond, Johnson and three others as part of a organized retail theft ring that that targeted Walmart stores in North Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Mississippi.
