Even some of the best barbecue joints in the Lone Star State can fall victim to the monster that is construction chaos. Now one of the top smokehouses in the state is calling for help as they head into the weekend.
B4 Barbeque in Mabank, southeast of Dallas, alerted around noon that it had only had five customers all day. The reason? The road in front of the Mabank Feed store, which houses B4 Barbeque, is closed, preventing what would normally be a large Friday crowd from giving the business a lunchtime surge.
“When I tell you this week is going straight to s**t, I mean EVERYTHING that can go wrong seems to be going wrong,” B4 Barbeque wrote on Facebook. “They have a ton of BBQ cooked, hot, and ready to go with hardly anyone able to get to them. After the week we’ve already had, this one hurts. Mabank is the location that keeps us afloat most weeks, and today is really important for this week’s sales.”…
