On Sunday, the Mesquite Police Department was called to the scene of a tragic incident, a single-vehicle crash that claimed two lives. According to the Mesquite Police Department, the accident occurred in the 2900 block of North Town East Blvd around 0248 hours. A black Toyota Camry, reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed, hit the curb, veered out of control, and made impact with a tree in the center median. This violent collision resulted in the vehicle igniting into flames.
