Police said they were in the middle of an active investigation and expected to release more information at a news conference set for about 12:45 p.m. A large section of the market’s lot has been taped off, and investigators set up a mobile command center in the McDonald’s parking lot across the street. Officers asked drivers and shoppers to avoid the area until the lot reopens, as investigators process the scene and speak with witnesses, according to NBC 5 DFW.
