City sues southeast Dallas apartment complex, alleging shootings, fire hazards and unsafe living conditions

DALLAS — Dallas officials have sued a southeast Dallas apartment complex, saying in court documents that it “operates in a perpetual state of lawlessness … where people shoot one another and into vehicles and buildings on the property.”

The Dallas City Attorney’s Office filed the civil suit against Eban Village, in county court on April 30.

The 17-building apartment complex has about 330 units. According to the suit, the complex is “mostly unmanaged and unattended” with wide-open gates and empty units…
