Two men face drug charges after Preble County traffic stop

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Two men were arrested in Preble County and are facing drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop on I.S. 70, west of U.S. 127.

According to the Preble County Sheriff’s Office, the traffic stop happened on Monday, July 13. Officials stopped a 2023 GMC pickup truck due to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. A K-9 was brought to the vehicle and did a free air sniff and indicated a positive alert.

With probable cause, officials searched the vehicle and seized the following:

  • Approximately 45 pounds of suspected raw marijuana
  • Approximately 50 boxes of suspected THC liquid hash vape cartridges and edibles.
  • A “large amount” of cash.

Both men were arrested. They were formally charged in Eaton Municipal Court on Wednesday, July 15.

  • Driver: A 25-year-old young man, Jamison B. Easley, from New Paris.
  • Passenger: A 26-year-old man, Brenden S. Pitcher, from Richmond, IN.

They both are facing the following charges:

  • Possession of Marijuana (a second-degree felony)
  • Possession of Marijuana (a third-degree felony)
  • Possession of Hashish (a second-degree felony)
  • Trafficking in Marijuana (a second-degree felony)
  • Trafficking in Hashish (a second-degree felony)
