A new downtown restaurant The 8 opened in late July right across from the Dayton Dragons’ Day Air Ballpark. The restaurant is a second venture for Jay and Deepika Singh, the owners of Gulzar’s Indian Cuisine located right next door.
The 8 offers tacos, burgers, chicken wings and other casual fare.
It’s also notable because the concept is to be a sports bar, which many have said is still needed in Downtown Dayton. Some bars have picked up a reputation as sports destinations, ranging from Troll Pub and Oregon Express to Dayton Beer Company and Pins Mechanical, but establishments truly prioritizing sports are still few and far between…
