DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The 7th annual Jack Pine Glass Pumpkin Festival closed early due to flooding in the Hocking Hills area on Saturday.
Organizers said the parking areas, the artists marketplace, the live music stage and the food truck court were flooded.
“The safety of our guests and our employees, artists, food vendors and musicians comes before anything else,” said glass artist Jack Pine. “We’re so sorry to close for them and for anyone who was headed our way today, but we don’t want anyone getting stuck or having problems as a result of this flooding.

The Jack Pine Studio has a hand-blown glass workshop and a retail gallery. It is where Pine and other artists make and sell their own works, from heavy metal sculpture to delicate glass jewelry. Unfortunately, it was also flooded, and there is still mud / water in the studio…
