A frantic 911 call early Sunday described a man and two girls kicking in a door and stabbing someone inside a West Riverview Avenue residence, but Dayton police later said no one was actually stabbed.
Crews were first dispatched to the 3000 block of West Riverview Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatcher cited by whio.com, which reported that the dispatcher confirmed one person had been stabbed. A separate report from wdtn.com placed the incident at approximately 12:40 a.m. in the same block, a discrepancy in timing that has not been resolved between the two accounts.
According to the 911 caller’s account relayed by wdtn.com, a man and two girls she said she did not recognize showed up at the house and kicked in her door. The caller told dispatchers one of the people had a weapon, saying, “They just stabbed her. They have a weapon. Come on.” wdtn.com also reported that a person was seen taken into police custody at the scene.
