Buc-ee’s, Huber Heights awaits ODOT traffic study finalization

HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio ( WDTN ) — A legendary beaver is still waiting for its cue to arrive into northern Montgomery County.

Buc-ee’s, a large convenience store, is proposed to sit at the intersection of OH-235 and I-70. The company is continuing to wait for local and state officials to conduct their work that needs to occur before construction can begin.

Huber Heights City Planner Aaron Sorrell says the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is conducting a study of what roadway improvements will need to occur on SR-235 before the project moves forward.

“Once those determinations are made, we expect the Buc-ee’s development team to move forward with finalizing their development plans,” Sorrell said.

Loryn Bryson, public information officer for ODOT District 7 says the department is working with the city, company and consultant for a traffic study.
