MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) – Two children wandering alone near a Dayton neighborhood last fall set off an investigation that prosecutors say uncovered severe abuse inside their home — and it has now led to a prison sentence for their mother.
Kayla Renae Shepherd, 30, will spend the next five years in prison after pleading guilty to endangering children and aggravated possession of drugs in Montgomery County, according to Dayton police and court records, and reported by WKEF.
