Kipper the runaway wallaby dies early Tuesday morning

(WDTN) – The runaway wallaby who hopped its way out of downtown Dayton last week has died.

According to Scott Marshall, chief public information officer with Sinclair Community College, confirmed that Kipper passed away around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

“We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Kipper, who had been a part of Sinclair’s Veterinary Technology program from time-to-time as a visitor, with regard to students’ hands-on learning experiences,” he said in a statement.
