Dangerous heat continues through Fourth of July

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — North Georgia is in the grip of dangerous heat, and it’s not letting up through the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Today marks another First Alert Weather Day for heat, with heat index values climbing to 100-105 degrees this afternoon.

A heat advisory is in effect for northwest Georgia, including Atlanta, from noon through 8 p.m.
