After a routine traffic stop on July 21 led to the arrest of two Metro Atlanta men and stopped the delivery of contraband to Ware State Prison in Waycross, Butts County Sheriff Gary Long is calling for change in the state’s prison system.
Jeremiah Elliott, 23, of Riverdale, and Julian Agosto, 24, of Decatur, were arrested after a Butts County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a vehicle traveling southbound on Interstate 75.
During the investigation, deputies found a large drone, about six ounces of suspected MDMA (Ecstasy), 15 pounds of cigarette tobacco, five pounds of suspected marijuana, JB Weld, knives, dozens of cell phones, a PlayStation gaming system, META sunglasses and charging devices…
