Gwinnett County Game Warden named Georgia’s 2026 Game Warden of the Year

Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division Corporal Blake Chafin, who is assigned to Gwinnett County, has been named Georgia’s 2026 Game Warden of the Year.

Chafin was recognized on Aug. 15, for his leadership, investigative work and commitment to conservation law enforcement during the past year. Game Warden First Class Kyle Kervin of Jefferson County was named runner-up and received the James R. Darnell Award.
