Bond granted for Decatur father detained by ICE, attorney says

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A Decatur father of two being held by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in southeast Georgia has been granted bond, his attorney said.

Peter Isbister, the attorney for Angel Ivan Chavez Salas, said the judge granted a $10,000 bond at a hearing Tuesday, clearing Chavez Salas’ way for release from the D. Ray James Processing Center and allowing him to keep fighting his asylum case from home…
