Spivey residents demand answers over construction project

Residents of the Spivey Ridge and Lake Spivey communities packed a recent Stockbridge City Council meeting, voicing more mounting frustration over construction tied to the Tranquil Trails apartment development and raising concerns about buffers, density, property values and transparency surrounding the project.

At the May 11 meeting, several residents said they were shocked by how quickly heavy equipment moved behind homes near Hunting Court and Spivey Ridge Circle, describing the sudden clearing of mature trees along backyard property lines as disruptive and alarming.

“We were just caught off guard,” resident Audrey Holmes told council members. “This construction is literally in our backyards.”…
