Here’s where the Denver-to-Fort Collins passenger train will stop and why

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — A passenger train connecting Denver and Fort Collins is moving closer to reality.

During Tuesday night’s Fort Collins City Council meeting, leaders with the Front Range Passenger Rail District and city officials discussed plans for the Colorado Connector, or CoCo. They talked about why the proposed station site near the Drake MAX bus station is likely to remain unchanged despite some calls for a downtown location.

The Colorado Connector passenger rail service is expected to begin operating Jan. 1, 2029, offering three daily round trips between Fort Collins and Denver, seven days a week. The service will include eight stops with a full travel time of about one hour and 40 minutes…
