Body of child recovered in Cherry Creek Reservoir late Saturday night

DENVER (KDVR) — A child floating on Cherry Creek Reservoir without a life jacket Saturday died after they went underwater and didn’t come back up, according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

The recovery efforts took about six hours before a CPW team found the child.

The child had been on a float with another child around 4 p.m. Saturday near the reservoir’s swim beach, and one child left the float in shallow water and walked to shore, CPW said…
