Aurora neighborhood rallies around young hawk after surprise landing

AURORA, Colo. — A young hawk nicknamed Tony has become an unlikely celebrity in an Aurora neighborhood after falling from a nest and spending several days learning to fly in front yards, trees and on top of backyard grills.

Neighbors in the Meadowood neighborhood have been keeping a close eye on the bird, while also learning an important lesson from wildlife experts: sometimes the best way to help a young bird is to leave it alone.
