Crash takes out ‘Leaving Colorful Colorado’ sign on I-70

DENVER (KDVR) — A crash on Saturday left the Centennial State with one less “Leaving Colorful Colorado” sign on Interstate 70, according to a social media post from the Lower Valley Fire District.

Around 6:13 p.m. on Saturday, the Lower Valley Fire District responded to a crash in the area of I-70 near milepost 231.

When crews arrived, they found a van hauling a trailer with major damage. The driver was able to self-extricate before the fire crews arrived. One of the van’s tires blew out, causing the driver to lose control and leave the road, according to the post.

They were evaluated at the scene of the crash, but did not want to be taken to the hospital…
