DENVER (KDVR) — When you’re law enforcement patrolling the roads of “Colorful Colorado,” you never know what you’ll run into.
That was particularly true for one Jefferson County sheriff’s deputy who met a stern cow elk that stared the deputy down to make sure her family could safely cross the road.
Suspects sought after at least 20 vehicles broken into, F-150 stolen
“It is not often that we get pulled over… but this elk gave our deputy a good stare down! The curious cow elk made sure her family was able to safely cross the road before letting us off the hook,” said the sheriff’s office in a social media post.
