DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver weather forecast remains hot with near record highs on the table Sunday as temperatures reach the upper 90s to 100 degrees.
A Heat Advisory remains in effect through this evening for portions of the north Front Range. Be sure to stay cool and hydrated with an encouragement to get those daily errands completed before the afternoon hours.
This week, temperatures will stay in the upper 90s through Tuesday before falling midweek thanks to showers and storms spiking in coverage with most areas seeing plentiful rains by the end of the week. This will also clear out our smoke significantly and improve air quality.
Weather today: Still hot, hazy with isolated storm
Temperatures this afternoon will be near a record high set back in 2021. Increasing afternoon clouds should prevent us from seeing many 100°+ readings, so we’re expecting temperatures to be slightly cooler than Saturday. With the afternoon clouds, a spotty shower or storm is possible with most areas staying dry.
Weather tonight: Some clouds and mild
Clouds will roll through at times overnight and due to this in addition to our hot Sunday, temperatures won’t cool much lower than the middle 60s.
Looking ahead: Smoke improves and rain returns
Wildfire smoke continues to stay with us through tonight before significant improvement arrives on Monday morning. Smoke should remain limited into midweek as rain chances increase.
Naturally, cooler temperatures will pair with the abundance of clouds and moisture around later this week. Thursday and Friday currently appear to be the wettest days, but stay tuned on rain chances as they could change some through the week…
