After a decade-plus of work, Carpio-Sanguinette Park & Heron Pond Open Space has officially opened to the public in the Globeville neighborhood.
A grand opening celebration was held at the 80-acre space along the South Platte River on Saturday.
“Seeing the site celebrated (by visitors) that way, finally, after 10 years of work, was really fulfilling and special,” Dig Studio Principal Architect Gretchen Wilson told The Denver Gazette. “Now, they (visitors) are going to really feel connected to this place, too.”…
