I-70 traffic backups costly in mountain areas: Study

But a new report from the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation showed that since 2007 total quantifiable congestion costs along the corridor have risen from $839 million to $2.25 billion.

And the delays have an impact on shipping and productivity.
