Colorado sees nearly half a foot of snow on Friday

DENVER (KDVR) — Even after a historically warm winter, Colorado is still seeing snow into mid-April, with some places already seeing nearly half a foot.

This winter was warm and dry, causing snowpack to be at a record low. Some ski resorts closed early, and other winter activities shut down due to warm weather. However, even though temperatures reached 90 degrees already this spring, there is still some winter weather left.

Some places in Colorado saw as much as 9 inches in a storm on Tuesday, and on Friday, more snow is falling across the state.
