Crash on Colorado State Highway 470 leaves one dead

Colorado State Highway 470 has reopened after a fatal crash Tuesday morning.

The crash happened at about 9:20 a.m. near the Ken Caryl exit. The single vehicle crash left the male driver dead and another occupant injured, while a toddler in the car was not injured.

The vehicle, a red Toyota SUV, was traveling westbound when it drifted left and went off the road, striking a guardrail. The 31-year-old driver was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries…
