Aurora teen attacked officers day after bringing weapon to school, police say

An Aurora teenager was arrested after he allegedly attacked police Wednesday afternoon, one day after he brought a weapon to his high school.

The 17-year-old boy, whose identity the Aurora Police Department did not publicly release since he is a minor, threw homemade explosives at officers responding to a call at his residence, Deputy Chief Mike Gaskill said in a Wednesday evening news conference.
