DES MOINES, Iowa — The Animal Rescue League of Iowa announced that it rescued nearly a dozen more horses from a separate property, after already taking in about a dozen equines earlier this week.
According to a Facebook post by the ARL, its Animal Welfare & Response Team assisted law enforcement with the rescue of 11 horses on Thursday. The ARL didn’t share where the rescue took place.

In a separate case on Wednesday, the ARL said it rescued 11 equines from two properties in central Iowa. The ARL said the animals rescued on Wednesday were found to be living in poor condition. A photo of the rescue posted on Facebook appeared to show that horses and a donkey were removed from a property.
