CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – After Monday morning, plan on a stretch of dry weather.
After seeing a round of shower activity move through eastern Iowa today, we will keep the possibility for a passing shower through the overnight hours. Lows fall into the upper 50s to low 60s with light winds out of the east.
The chance for a few spotty showers remains with us through the morning hours on Monday. Then, an area of high pressure is expected to build over the Great Lakes. Easterly winds from the building high pressure will lead to drier air pushing into eastern Iowa. Dew points are expected to fall through Monday afternoon as any morning showers dissipate. Skies are partly to mostly sunny Monday afternoon and evening with highs in the upper 70s and low to mid 80s. Lows Monday night fall into the mid 50s under mostly clear skies…
