National Weather Service Warns of Flash Flooding and Severe Weather Threat Across Iowa

The National Weather Service in Des Moines is alerting Iowans to the potential for heavy rainfall, flash flooding, and severe thunderstorms over the next several days.

According to the latest weather briefing, the first round of storms is expected to develop late Thursday and continue into Thursday night. A second round of severe weather and heavy rain is forecast for Friday afternoon through Friday night.
