19-year-old charged after leading Indianola police on chase while riding dirt bike

INDIANOLA, Iowa — A suspect is in custody after allegedly leading officers on a chase while riding a dirt bike, Indianola police said in a press release.

Police responded to reports of a red dirt bike being “operated recklessly” near the 200 block of North Jefferson Way just before 4:30 p.m. on May 28. Witnesses told police the operator was doing wheelies and weaving through traffic.
