DES MOINES, Iowa — Event organizers announced the Northside Market is canceling its 2026 event, citing “circumstances out of their control.”
The announcement came via a Facebook post from organizers Bethany Fast and Jamie Nicolino, who both run businesses in the area. The post states that circumstances outside of the organizers’ control have led to the decision that they will “no longer able to continue planning and executing a successful Northside Market, therefore we will officially be canceling the event this year.”
“We absolutely know that this is a huge loss for the Northside community, specifically Highland Park and all of the incredible vendors who line the streets with their handmade goods and delicious foods,” a portion of the post reads.

While no specific reason for the cancellation is provided, further in the post, organizers state. “Decisions like this are impossible to make, but at this time we both need to step back and focus on the future of our own businesses as there is much happening behind the scenes in our building.”…
