A Bouton man was recently arrested for an alleged incident in Rippey.
According to court documents, a Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a call in Rippey on Sunday, May 31st around 4:30pm of the suspect, 37-year-old Ian Nelson, of allegedly threatening to use a firearm following a verbal argument. Court documents show that when the deputy arrived, no firearm was found with Nelson, who was detained in the patrol vehicle.
The criminal complaint states that a witness saw Nelson put the firearm in his vehicle, which Nelson admitted to doing and to owning the 9-millimeter handgun. Court documents show that Nelson also admitted to being a previous domestic abuser, which the deputy saw the conviction of a domestic abuse incident in Dallas County.
