Holiday drivers may get relief, but not cheap gas

DES MOINES, Iowa — The fuel for a Fourth of July getaway may feel a little less expensive than it did in May — but not by much.

GasBuddy projects the national average price of gasoline will be about $3.75 per gallon on July 4, putting this Independence Day on track to be the second most expensive July 4 at the pump ever recorded.
