East Village brings live music back to Simon Estes Amphitheater after seven-year hiatus

DES MOINES, Iowa — Live music is returning to the Simon Estes Amphitheater for the first time in seven years as the Historic East Village works to revive the riverfront space with a new community event series.

The free event, presented by AARP Iowa, featured live music, local food vendors and drinks, encouraging people to continue their day in the East Village after the Downtown Farmers’ Market.
