Krause Group acquires majority stake in Portuguese Soccer Club

The FIFA World Cup may have just wrapped up, but for Des Moines-based Krause Group, the global soccer stage is far from quiet.

The company announced it has reached an agreement to acquire a majority ownership stake in Casa Pia Atlético Clube, a historic soccer club based in Lisbon, Portugal.

The investment marks another step in Krause Group’s growing international soccer footprint and reflects its long-term commitment to the sport. Casa Pia joins Parma Calcio 1913 in Italy and the Des Moines Menace in Iowa as part of the company’s expanding soccer portfolio. The acquisition also complements Krause Group’s vision of bringing professional soccer to Iowa through Pro Iowa.
