JOHNSTON, Iowa — A Johnston man died Thursday afternoon after his car left southbound Interstate 35 near the Highway 92 interchange and struck a bridge pillar, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
The crash happened at 1:01 p.m. Aug. 6, 2026, near mile marker 55 on southbound I-35, the State Patrol said.
