Sheldon native Craig Ihnen is no stranger to halls of fame — he has been inducted into seven of them — but his most recent induction into the National High School Hall of Fame places him among an exclusive group of honorees, including Olympic athletes and famous coaches.
“I went in with Joe Carter, who hit the home run for the Toronto Blue Jays in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the World Series one year,” the 71-year-old Ihnen said.
